At KAiMAK Hair Studio nail extensions are done with nail prep and correct application; the goal isn't just aesthetics but a result that respects nail health. Infills (refresh) and removal are also planned with care.
As extensions grow out, infills (refresh) are needed at intervals; correct care prevents early lifting or breakage. Removal is also recommended in salon so as not to stress the nail.

There are two main nail extension techniques: gel (more flexible, closer to the feel of a natural nail) and acrylic (harder, preferred for long, durable forms); which suits you is decided by your nail structure. The process: the natural nail is cleaned and the surface buffed, tips/forms are placed, gel or acrylic is shaped and cured under UV/LED, fine filing gives the final shape, then colour/finish is applied. The first application takes 90-120 minutes, an infill 60-75 minutes; infills are usually needed every 3 weeks.
