A pedicure starts with a warm-water foot soak to soften the skin, followed by careful filing of callused/hardened areas — this is for comfort and appearance, not a medical treatment. Nail shape is set, followed by cuticle care and a foot massage. A classic pedicure takes about 40-50 minutes; adding gel polish extends it to 65-80 minutes.
